Women’s Co-Working Space Grows in Funding and Influence

Two entrepreneurs, Audrey Gelman and Lauren Kassan,  launched an exclusive co-working space for female entrepreneurs to network, communicate and do business with other women in business. And it just got some high powered help to further its expansion.

The Wing announced it landed $75 million in Series C funding, lead by Sequoia Capital, and joined by Airbnb, WeWork. NEA and Upfront Ventures. Notable individual investors in The Wing include actress Kerry Washington, Fmr. White House senior advisor Valarie Jarrett, TIME’S UP legal defense co-founders Hillary Rosen and Robbie Kaplan, and members of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team.
