Volterra Gets $50 Million for its Cloud Platform

Santa Clara, California based startup Volterra announced it raised new funding.

The startup announced it has raised $50 million in new funding from Samsung NEXT, M12 (the VC arm of Microsoft), ITOCHU Technology Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and Mayfield Fund

Volterra offers a distributed cloud platform to connect, deploy, operate and secure applications and data across multi-cloud and edge sites. Line-of-business leaders can drive business transformation and automation by distributing workloads closer to business action. DevOps teams can manage fleets of apps and infrastructure with less difficulty. Network teams can make app connectivity and security simpler.

The company just emerged from two years of stealth operations with this new funding.
