Most people know little about cloud computing startup Vlocity, but enough do to make it the country’s newest unicorn startup.
Thanks to its latest funding round, a $60 million Series C fundraising round led by Sutter Hill Ventures and Salesforce Ventures, the company is now worth one billion dollars, according to CB Insights, which tracks startups. It is the 11th United States based startup to reach this club so far in 2019.

Vlocity is Software as a Service (SaaS) company that is in the Forbes Cloud 100 and works with companies with customer experiences. Its customers include communications, financial services, energy, government and non-profit institutions. It is partnered with the cloud computing powerhouse Salesforce.
This latest financing round puts Vlocity’s total capital haul at $163 million.
