TruTag Raises $7.5 Million For Edible Product Verification

TruTag Technologies, a Emeryville, California based startup, announced it raised new funding for its product identification platform

The startup announced it has raised $7.5 million in Series C funding from Happiness Capital and Pangaea Ventures which lead the funding in this round. TruTag’s total funding is $25 million.

TruTag creates microscopic bar-codes that can be eaten, to authenticate food, medicine, vaping pods and other edible products. It’s technology has received numerous awards, and is being used by various industries around the world.

TruTag also has offices in Florida, Pennsylvania, Scotland,  and Hawaii.
