STARTUP ROUNDUP: Which Startups Got Funded

  • Bowery, an indoor farming startup landed $90 million in funding, lead by GV, with assistance from General Catalyst, Temasek and Almanac Ventures, First Round Captial and GGV Captial.
  • YayPay got paid. The financial services startup landed $8.4 million in funding from Information Venture Partner (leader), along with Fifth Third Capital, 500 Fintech Fund, Gaingels, Birchmere and QED. The company collects on outstanding invoices with its SaaS platform.
  • Guru, an AI guided knowledge sharing platform completed a Series B funding of $25 million, led by Thrive Capital, along with MSD Captial, Emergence Capital, Slack Fund and FirstMark Capital.
  • Four year old real estate investment startup Juniper Square raised $25 million in Series B funding. Ribbit Capital lead the funding, joined by Felicis Ventures.
  • AppOnboard, which lets users test Android apps on Google Play before they buy them, nabbed funding from Breakaway Growth to the tune of $15 million.
