Software Testing Startup Cypress Announces New Funding

Atlanta based Cypress announced it has raised $9.3 million in Series A funding. Bessemer Venture Partners led the round.

“Getting to this point would not have been possible without the dedication of our founders, our investors, the hard work by the team, and the support of our friends and family,” said Cypress CEO Drew Landham in a blog post.

Along with the new funding comes new additions to the Cypress staff Mike Droesch (BVP) and Jason Warner (SVP of Engineering at Github) is joining the company ‘s Board of Directors. Adam Gross (former CEO of Heroku) has also joined as an investor and advisor.

Cypress’s core business is helping companies build better software faster. In the last 12 months, it has seen downloads of its platform over 15 million times, from more than 90 countries around the world.

It’s customers include Netflix, Slack GitHub, Lego and GoDaddy.
