Upstart testing software Launchable tees off with new seed funding.

The startup announced it has raised $3.2 million seed funding from Unusual Ventures, Battery Ventures and several individual angel investors including Bob Bickel (CEO, RunSignup), Koki Uchiyama (Founder, Hottolink, Inc.), Sacha Labourney (Cloudbees CEO), and Sri Viswanath  (CTO, Atlassian.)

Launchable has been operating in stealth mode for the past couple of months prior to its successful fundraising round. The company has been staffing up and raising money preparing for its launch, a company devoted to helping companies ace successful product tests.

“Development teams are paying millions of dollars running pointless tests,” said Harpreet Singh, co-founder and CEO of Launchable, in a blog post. “Besides the huge costs, these pointless tests don’t catch problems and consequently have a negative impact on productivity and morale of development teams. Launchable solves these infrastructure costs and productivity issues by identifying and running meaningful tests.”

The startup uses data and machine learning to combat inefficiencies during testing.
