Seeded: IoT Security Platform Ockam Raises $4.9 Million

Ockam, which offers a suite of Internet of Things security products, announced it has closed on $4.9 million in seed funding.

The investors raising the funds are Future Ventures, Okta Ventures, SGH Capital, and Core Venture Group. Ockam plans to use the new funding to “enable the builders who are ushering in our shared vision of a seamless connected world.”

Ockam’s suite of products enable developers to establish an architecture for trust within their applications. Ockam helps simplify interconnecting secure hardware with software services to facilitate trustful exchange of data within connected systems.

Joanna Drake Earl, general partner, will be working with Ockam for Core Ventures Group, while Future Ventures’ Steve Jurvetson and Maryanna Saenko advises Ockam on behalf of their VC . Saenko will also be joining Ockam’s board of directors.
