SEEDED: GreenPark Sports Lands $8.5 Million

GreenPark Sports, a Burlingame, CA based startup announced it raised new funding to launch a new generation of fan-focused mobile digital games.

The startup announced it has raised $8.5 million in seed funding from SignalFire, which lead the funding in this round. Supporting investors in this round includes Founders Fund and Sapphire Ventures.

Launched in 2018, GreenPark Sports publishes and develops mobile games and digital experiences for a new generation of sports and eSports fans. The company wants to make today’s gamer an “active participant” in the live sports/eSports they love. The company was founded by Chad Hurley (YouTube co-founder, former CEO) and Nick Swinmurn (co-founder, former CEO of Zappos), and Ken Martin (former BLITZ CCO and co-founder.)

GreenPark Sports wants to use the funding to expand hiring and obtain creative, engineering and development talent.
