Demodesk, which helps sales and customer service teams close deals faster using its online meeting solution, announced it completed its first funding round.

Y Combinator lead the funding, which brought in $2.3 million in seed funding. GFC, FundersClub, Kleiner Perkins, and angel investors Immad Akhund, Jude Gomila, Brad Flora, Hanno Renner (CEO of Personio) and Philipp Rösch-Schlanderer (CEO of eGym).

The Demodesk platform boosts sales teams by automatically loading slides and websites to present, adding conversational guidance along sales playbooks and assisting with sale numbers objections as it happens, all on the cloud-based conferencing tool. This software also automates scheduling, deep CRM integration, and complete meeting analytics. The user can also share mouse and keyboard control so that sales teams can work collaboratively on the virtual display for interactive onboarding and support.

According to Demodesk, over 100 customers worldwide are currently using the platform for demos, closing calls and onboarding sessions. Those companies are reporting “a significant reduction of meeting no-shows,” and a 25% increase in demo conversion rates by elimination task repetition in meeting prep, scheduling and CRM logging.
