Marie Kondo, who hosts the Netflix series Tidying Up with Marie Kondo is looking for venture capital dollars to grow her lifestyle branding company, KonMari.

Kondo is seeking $40 million in VC funds to grow her personal brand, book line and TV series, according to The Information. She has already been in discussions with several VC’s, but none have been named.  This will be KonMarie’s second funding round.

Tidying Up is a wildly popular series on Netflix, where Kondo tells viewers how to arrange their stuff more efficiently. Kondo’s evaluation process on what should stay on viewers shelves or be discarded is described in her popular catch phrase, “does it spark joy.”

Kondo has been a growing international success for some time. Her book ‘The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up” was a global success when it was published in 2011. Since then, Kondo, who is from Tokyo, Japan, had been a rising star as an organizing consultant.

KonMari was formed in 2015, with her husband, Takumi Kawahara.
