Music Distributor Clinq Raises $40 Million

Santa Monica, California based startup Clinq Music announced it raised new funding to provide digital music management to its clients.

The startup announced it has raised $40 million in Series C funding from GoDigital Media Group, a holding company that specializes in intellectual property management. GoDigital has invested in Clinq in at least two rounds.

Clinq provides several services to content makers to get their products to the public, including distribution, rights management, marketing and analytical data. Most recently, the startup purchased Grammy winning hip hop artist T.I.‘s catalog and partnering with hitmaker Janet Jackson‘s Rhythm Nation Records for recording and distribution.
