IoT Startup Raises $100 Million

Samsara, a startup that operates an industrial Internet of Things platform that “creates a digital representation of customers’ physical assets and operations,” reported it raised $100 million in new funding.

The infusion was provided by General Catalyst and Andreessen Horowitz, which already contributed $40 million in Series C financing, its previous round preceding this one.

According to Samsara, 5,000 global customers currently use its asset tracking technology. It’s largest customers include P&G, Tyco, Dean Foods and Bella Landscaping.
