Pasadena, California based wireless technology startup GuRu Wireless announced it raised new funding.
The startup has raised $15 million in Series A funding from two investors, Bold Capital and Kairos Ventures.
GuRu Wireless is a millimeter-wave tech company that develops products for businesses and individuals who want more wireless technology to stop using wires, charging batteries or plugging-in items. The startup’s first products will deliver electric power wirelessly, through the air. GuRu was founded by a team of Caltech electrical engineers, applied physicists, and integrated circuit and phased array experts.
GuRu will use the new funding to “complete commercialization”, obtain FCC approval of its first line of wireless products, and hire new management and engineering talent.
