Fundbuzz: Digital Assets, Clox Health, Aruna Bio and Hippo Insurance

  • DIGITAL ASSETS – This Denver based startup closed on a $3.2 million round led by North Island, along with Vestigo Ventures, Amidst Capital, CMT Digital, Digital Currency Group, Morgan Creek Digital and Ikigai Asset Management. This new round follows a $1.5 million seed round completed in March. Digital Assets brings data, information and transparency into cryptoassets.
  • CLOX HEALTH – Based out of Alpharetta, Ga, Clox Health received $30 million in equity investments to enhance its capability of providing clinical data liquidity to minimize healthcare costs for patients. Merck Global Health Innovation fund and New Mountain Capital provided funding in this round.
  • ARUNA BIO – A company that develops neural exosomes for treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, announced it raised $13 million in common stock financing. Eshelman Ventures provides all funding for this Athens, GA startup’s round.
  • HIPPO INSURANCE – This Palo Alto based home insurance startup announced it raised $100 million in Series D funding. The startup raised the funds from a host of different investors, led by Bond, along with RPM Ventures, Lennar, Comcast Ventures, Felicis Ventures, Fifth Wall, Horizons Ventures, Hillhouse Capital Group, ICONIQ Capital, Propel Venture Partners, Pipeline Capital and Michael Ovitz. Hippo has raised $209 million since its 2015 launch.
