Techstars NYC has announced a new leader months after the departure of Alex Iskold, in a shakeup of the startup accelerator’s Big Apple division.
Longtime Techstars NYC manager Jenny Fielding is the new managing director, and will continue the program’s mission of helping startups develop and thrive in NYC.
Fielding is one of the founders of The Fund, which funds NYC based early stage startups. She also an several local tech focused corporate accelerators, such as Techstars IoT and Cedars-Sinai Accelerator. She was also an instructor at Columbia University.

“My goal is to build even deeper ties with local organizations that foster community and promote inclusivity,” wrote Fielding, in a blog statement. “I cofounded The Fund, a community focused venture fund investing exclusively in New York founders and supported by some of the brightest operators in New York—making me fully convinced that the next wave of great companies will be built here.”
The NYC division of Techstars launched in 2011.
