TetraScience announced it has raised $8 million in new Series A funding from a strategic investment from Waters Corporation. It joins other investors in the cloud-based data integration platform for life sciences research and development startup, including First Round Capital, Floodgate Capital, Underscore VC, Founder Collective and Y Combinator.
Mainline is an esports tournament software and management company that provides customers with their own esports content. The Houston, TX based company helps colleges and brands manage, monetize and market their programs and tournaments. The startup raised $6.8 million in Series A funding, led by Work America Capital, with additional support from individual investors.
Link3D announced it has closed on $7 million in venture capital funding. Based in Boulder, Colorado, the startup offers Additive MES workflow software which helps organizations scale their digital manufacturing strategy. Link3D applies today’s tech, such as IoT, workflow automation and machine learning to enable manufacturers to unlock the true benefits of Industry 4.o. AIB Seed Capital led the funding, with support from AI Capital.
Crunchbase, which provides data and analytics on startup businesses, received $30 million in new Series C funding. OMERS Ventures led the round, joined by Emergence, Mayfield, Cowboy Ventures, and Verizon. Crunchbase has raised $56.5 million in funding so far. It plans to double its staff over the next year, overhaul its website and make investments in data acquisition, research and international expansion. Michael Yang, managing partner at OMERS, will join Crunchbase’s board of directors.
