Ed-Tech Startup Homeroom Raises $3.5 Million

Education oriented startup Homeroom completed it’s first funding round to grow its afterschool enrichment platform.

The company raised $3.5 million in seed funding from Forerunner Ventures which led the round. Other investors are Felicis Ventures, Kapor Captial and several angel investors including Deborah Quazzo, Tyler Bosmeny, Max Rhodes and Jared Simon.

Homeroom, an all encompassing after-school program enrichment platform, lets faculty, parents and vendors organize, book and manage classes held at the school location. The service handles registration, scheduling and management of the classes.

This is the first funding round for the San Francisco based startup.
