Data Management Startup Kasten Raises $14 Million

Kasten, a Los Altos, California based startup announced it raised new funding for its cloud based data management toolset.

The startup announced it has raised $14 million in Series A funding from Insight Venture Partners. Managing Director Michael Triplett will join Kasten’s board of directors as part of the deal.

Two year old Kasten will use the investment money to grow all aspects of the company including sales, marketing and engineering. It will create an research and development center in Salt Lake City, as well.

Kasten’s business is its data management platform for modern cloud-native infrastructures. This product empowers enterprises to easily build, deploy and manage containerized, stateful applications at scale.
