Concussion Management Platform BrainCheck Gets $8 Million

BrainCheck, a Houston, TX based startup announced it raised new funding to for its concussion management system.

The startup announced it has raised $8 million in Series A funding from S3 Ventures and Tensility Venture Partners, both of which lead the funding in this round. Nueterra Capital and True Wealth Ventures backed the funding round.

Since 2016, BrainCheck collected $12.5 million in funding, including this latest round.

BrainCheck’s management system is developed in the neuroscience laboratory of Dr. David Eagleman at Baylor College of Medicine. According to the company, this new system facilitates collaboration among members of the care team-increasing safety and awareness-and gives individuals who have had an injury a better way to track their brains’ recovery. BrainCheck can be used to support concussion protocols for legal compliance.
