Nenulous, a cloud storage startup, announced new funding.

It announced it closed a $3.25 million funding round led by Bain Capital Ventures, assisted by Bessemer Venture Partners, Collaborative Fund, Dragonfly Capital Partners, A.Capital, SV Angel, Hack VC, INBlockchain and other investors.

Nebulous hopes to use the funding to scale and accelerate the development of its decentralized cloud storage platform, Sia.

Sia uses blockchain technology to create a more robust and affordable cloud storage system. Sia, in addition to costing about $1 per terabyte per month, affords users with privacy and control over their data.
