Venture capital firm 1955 Capital has promoted Kathy Chen to Vice President of the firm.
Chen started working at 1955 Capital in 2016 and had been helping to land new business opportunities and supporting startups in the firm’s portfolio. She specializes in transformative healthcare tech and sustainability.
Before joining 1955 Capital, Wharton School graduate Chen spent three years at Asia-based cross-border growth equity firm Unitas Capital, and started her career in investment finance at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and J.P. Morgan, completing mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity transactions in the U.S. and China.
She will report to 1955 Capital’s founder and managing partner, Andrew Chung.
