Squire, a New York based startup which offers a software based system to manage barbershop and men’s salon operations, raised $8 million in new funding.
The Series A funding round was led by Trinity Ventures, backed by Y Combinator, 645 Ventures, Altair Capital, New General Market Partners, and Blue Fog Capital. This is Squire’s first funding round.
Squire lets shop owners manage the operations of their business in one place. The app handles scheduling, sales, customer retention, customer communications, payroll management and other barbershop/salon operations. The app can be customized to showcase the shop’s brand as well.
Squire’s popularity is growing among the nation’s barbershops. The company grew 400% in 2018, with over 3 million accounts added and $100 million in sales processed in the last two years. Squire is in 28 major cities in three countries.
